FREE CHILDCARE PLACES for 2,3 and 4 year olds plus 30 hours
We are a privately run pre-school for children aged between 2 and rising 5’s.
We have been established since 1998 & are based within a modular building located on the grounds of St. Mary’s school in Welham Green.

" Sunshine is a fabulous and well organised setting with staff members that really get to know your children and help them to flourish. My two children both had very good experiences there. My youngest has special educational needs and Louise the SENCO couldn’t have done anymore and went out of her way on many occasions to make sure my daughter had all the extras that she needed. The ladies that work there are all very friendly and kind and they did their upmost to make sure my children had the experiences at the preschool. I highly recommend this setting. "

" Sunshine have been pivotal in Erens personal & Social development with the help form Lindsay, Louise and the whole team. Eren is no fully engaged with slow and steady vital integration. Eren absolutely loves his nursery and is doing so well we are over the moon and extremely proud of him. The things he is learning is noticed at home and his journey has been amazing. thank you to all of you for making Eren so happy and safe, giving him an environment that he can learn in. "

" My son went to Sunshine as soon as he turned 2. He enjoyed his time there and made some lovely friends. I was concerned with him starting pre-school, but Sunshine really helped to prepare him. He was in the nurture group due to lack of confidence and the work they did with him really helped.
My daughter now goes to Sunshine and she loves it. She loves playing outside and its lovely they have the freedom to spend lots of time outside there. She has learnt lots of nursery rhymes in the past couple of weeks and comes home and sings them to me. The staff are approachable and long standing which makes a huge difference to young children. "

" Both my sons went to Sunshine in Welham Green. I can’t recommend them enough. They both were very shy and teary to leave me but with the help of the team they soon both settled in. Sunshine helped them become so confident and helped massively with their development. They would give them lots of care and attention and their communication with me was amazing. For me that was the biggest thing. I wanted to know how they were doing and to know they were happy. There would be phone calls and chats at the gate fill me in. They went above and beyond and I was actually sad when they both had to leave Sunshine to start full time school. The staff are so friendly and approachable & always had time to answer any of my many questions. I wouldn’t have had my 2 sons go anywhere else. "

" We can’t speak highly enough of Sunshine Pre-school! Both of our children started their educational journeys there and absolutely loved their time at Sunshine. We were all extremely sad when it came to an end.
The staff are incredibly caring, supportive and knowledgeable and were fantastic in helping George re-discover his confidence after the lockdowns. We can only hope that Hallie and George continue to be so lucky with their teachers as they progress through school, but Sunshine have set the bar extremely high. Thanks again to everyone at Sunshine for all they did for our family. "
